Wellbeing Designers Podcast

Meet the first generation of wellbeing leaders! They are the ones who are called head of wellbeing or similar in big organisations.

They are Wellbeing Designers!

"One of the things we have got to fix is CEOs and CFOs have to understand that growth is dependent on wellbeing. They can't sacrifice wellbeing for growth...

... I think wellbeing is gonna be part of the overall corporate sustainability agenda in companies over time. if companies are more and more dependent on the innovation and service and creativity and productivity of the individual people, wellbeing is a financial metric almost..."

YES! Time has come for Episode 8 of the Wellbeing Designers Podcast with Josh Bersin, CEO of The Josh Bersin Company and author of the book "Irresistible".

I am super excited to share this conversation with you as Josh is putting organisational wellbeing into the bigger context of other HR and business topics and challenges.

Thank you Josh for sharing your insights with us! I am grateful for this conversation with you

My top 3+1 learnings are:

People sustainability: wellbeing is predicted be part of the overall corporate sustainability agenda in companies

Pay Equity: according to the research done in the Healthy Organisation study Pay Equity has a massive impact on people's sense of wellbeing. People who feel underpaid or unfairly paid are bringing, carrying a big burden around with them every day at work. Reminds me on the basic levels of the Maslow pyramid and the importance of financial wellbeing.

Confusion: is one of the main factors affecting wellbeing. "What am I responsible for? What are my priorities? What can I not do because I have to do this versus that?" The company might have too many things going on and there seem to be conflicting priorities. Targets are too high and we're not hitting our metrics and people are not sure what they should do about it.

Solutions: should come from the business, problems are not expected to be solved by a single wellbeing manager. Bringing people together to agree on the problems and then discussing solutions is the way forward!
